BVI Resorts and Sailing Options

It is well establish that when the word sailing is mention about any of the Caribbean territories; the British Virgin Islands (BVI) can claim that it is a legend when it comes to its sailing options. Allow us to build a case for why you should visit the different BVI resorts while just samples some of the exciting aspects of the sailing opportunities in the territory. For a little backdrop on the islands, they are located east of Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). The island of Tortola gives access by air and by sea from all the major islands around. These countries include St. Thomas, Puerto Rico (United States Territories), St. Martin (a French and Dutch Territory), Antigua and many of the other small islands in the Leeward Islands. Additionally, the BVI is a British dependent territory.

So far the information has been good, but, can you offer me reasons that will make me even consider the BVI for a vacation. Well, it is good that you are little interested in what I have to say next so let us continue. The BVI have been labeled as the Mecca of the best sailing opportunities in the world. The territory consists of 36 small islands, four of which are larger than the others. BVI cover a land area of 59 square miles. Additionally, we cannot establish a case for sailing in the BVI without giving a brief over of the USVI as well. The territory of the USVI consists of 54 small islands with four being larger and the closest island to the BVI is St. John. These islands cover 133 square miles in area. So, there you have it; both territories cover a land area of over 190 square miles with about 90 small islands to explore. You can now start to get the picture of how amazing these islands are for sailing because of the close proximity of the different islands to each other. Keep in mind that we are highlighting BVI resorts and sailing opportunities.

Two of the main yacht charter companies in the territory are the BVI Yacht Charter Company and Virgin Island Sailing Ltd. The different yachts provided by the BVI Yacht Charter Company allows for distinction in offerings for the needs of the various types of visitors. There are yachts ideally suited for families, large groups of guess and for romantic couples. These yachts normally journey to places like Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Beef Island which are all small islands the makes up the BVI.  The Virgin Island Sailing Ltd allows you to get a taste of both the USVI and BVI with their sailing offers. While sailing, you will get opportunities to snorkel, scuba dive and participate in a number of watersports activities including jet skiing. We must make you aware that most of, if not all the modernly design yachts of all sizes and dimension are at these companies for you to choose. The different company will have their packages base of the length of time you will want to stay.

Essentially, I have used up all the space given to me to make a case on BVI resorts. But, please allow me to ramble on quickly. When it comes of resorts in the territory you can choose Bitter End Yacht Club, Peter Island Resort Tortola, Scrub Island Resort Spa, Long Bay Beach Resort And Villas, Little Dix Bay A Rosewood Resort, Gordian Terrace, and Fort Recovery Beach Villas as some of the top resorts in the territory. In concluding my case for you to visit to one of the BVI resorts, and participate in sailing the different sailing options in the islands. Think about having breakfast in one island, then go sailing to another and scuba diving, jet skiing, sunbathing on a yacht, snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing on the beach all day, then at dinner time journey to another island to dine and relax a little on the beach again, finally journeying to another island to spend the rest of the night. All of this is done in one day. This is what a vacation to one of the lovely BVI resorts offer you. My case is closed. See you in the BVI and please enjoy your visit. Follow one of the links to here to start your sailing journey. No, it by air first of course. Really!
